Get married at whatever church you go to/like - I would feel so weird getting married at a random church I wasnt even familiar with! (I've been goign to St. Nicks since I was 5! did the whole day school/ GOYA Basketball thing +++) so I can't picture it anywhere else!

No meetings on Weds - what meetings on weds actually and which church - no idea what you're talking about lol I'm so slow =) We are deciding to stay with Sand Castle - just had to get it out of our system to see other places! And yes we did Vienese table!!!! You cannot have a wedding without it! Especially with a family full of girls!

Hi Deby--

I love Father George as well but Father Taso was my favorite (and family friend), so he performed the ceremony along with Father Paul at St. Nicks. It was nice.

My sister's husband is from Bayridge and this is where she lives now. She gets to see Father George at church all the time.

I hear Sandcastle is beautiful. I've never been there but I have only heard good reviews.

Thanks guys! It's good to hear all good reviews!!! Father G's talks were great!! I miss them so much =( My FItobe has never met him but will soon!

The SandCastle menu is HUGE - so that makes me happy! (I luv to eat!!!)

We were supposed to go this summer - we were even thinking of getting engaged there but don't know yet. I hope we do - we went last summer so I could meet his family =)) I hope someone here can do it if not. BTW where are you having your engagement part? We were thinking something small - like 30 - 40 people and having it somewhere in Astoria like Karyatis

I had my e-party in February at the Chateau Briand in Westbury. I had about 100 people and that was all close close friends and family. I would have done something smaller, except that I def. wanted something with dancing so we opted for a hall with a dance floor. It was amazing!!! We had two priests come for the blessing.

awww wonderful!!!! We have 100 people for the actual wedding!!! It's all my fam because his is in Greece. We are thinking astoria because we want to take everyone to the place we met (CAVO) afterwards for dancing - don't worry he didn't pick me up there !!! lol

That's what I'm thinking. BTW Do you know if a priest will bless two rings? I want to do a diamond vera to match the e-ring and we both got the same gold band. I want to be engaged and married with the diamond band but I want him to bless the gold ring as well and I'll wear all three.

I did the same things. I got a platinum eternity diamond band as my "vera" and a platinum plain band for everyday...Yes the priest will bless all three. The day of the wedding though I am planning on only wearing and getting my diamond band blessed. I will get the plain one blessed after the wedding.

Oh good!!!! I'm assuming you got engaged with the eternity band. But I like that idea of having an everyday one and a diamond one. I still have to find a place to have the dinner at - NO TIME!!! do you know of any places in astoria that will do it on a Saturday night?? I should be booking right? I want it in June lol

A friend of my FH had their e-party at Laterna in Bayside. Check out Mythos in Bayside too. I think they have a small room for up to 70 people.
