Re: Hawaii Ques-Repost
I went to Oahu in Feb 2007. We stayed at Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach. The hotel was beautiful, the room was big with a view of the beach. Lots of stuff around the hotel. I know Outrigger has other hotels on other islands....they might be worth checking out.

Re: Hawaii Ques-Repost
I stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village on Oahu. It was ok. Not fancy or anything. I would stay there again though.
Then on the Big Island I stayed at the Haupena Prince Hotel. That was great! The beach was amazing and the hotel was very nice. I recommend it !

Re: Hawaii Ques-Repost
Hello there! Actually we just got back today from 2 1/2 weeks in hawaii. We went to Oahu, kauai, big island and Maui. All were beautiful in their own ways. We were blown away by everything at the grand hyatt in kauai (food, service, decor) - you really can't go wrong with this one. Also, I'm not sure what you want to do while in the big island. If you want to just hang out and relax go on the kona side (very hot and dry). If you like to see a lot of green go to the hilo or volcano area. We did both. In kona we stayed at the hilton waikoloa village - nice, but still needs an update here and there. We stayed at a bed and breakfast named the Volcano Village Lodge (google to check it out) in the volcano area. This was a really small place, but is so nice and the staff was so informative and sweet. FM me if you are have any questions - I'd love to help.

I am a huge fan of the Grand Hyatt on Kauai (the HM will be the third stay there for me).

I have been to hawaii 2xs and the outrigger is the best on Oahu and the best outrigger in general. It is right in the middle of everything and the rooms are amazing, the staff friendly and the price is perfect. During the 2 trips I went to every island except one (molokai ie the lepper island Lol) It really depends what you are looking for in your experience. My fav island was Lanai. This is the most romantic place I have ever been to. There were only 3 hotels on the whole island but there might be a few more now(a beach resort, a mountain resort and one in the middle.)and there is nothing to do but enjoy the views and each others company. You could visit the other hotels for different activities or for a change of scenery. But you would have to see what time buses left each day cuz they only make a certain amount of trips each day to each hotel. Last time I went this was the island we visited last, so the relaxation and the pampering was exactly what was needed. Oahu is the place to do sightseeing (arizona memorial, diamond head, Hanauma Bay, and OMG the beaches) and experience the night life. Maui I was a little surprised with since all I had heard was how big on HMers it was and I felt like there was ALOT!! of kids around. Here we did a lot of hiking (road to hana...bring old sneakers...I lost a brand new pair of nikes to a mud whole!!!) HATED THE BIG ISLAND! It looked like a desolate waste land...all the dried lava around looked like a bomb went off. There was just nothing special about this island that you couldnt experience on anyone of the other islands. Kauai was also very nice. Did more relaxing here and driving down the coast. If you want to relax but still be capable to drive and see other people this is very similar to Lanai but with more people
this is all I can think of at the moment but if you have any questions feel free to fm me!

I've stayed at the Outrigger Waikik 3 times before (the HM will be the 4th). IMO it's the best bargain on Waikiki Beach. The hotel is really nice and it's very centrally located.
