Anyone just SICK of politics?

I apologize in advance if you're really into the election, I just have poli-fatigue, you know??? I can't watch one more minute of this DNC, I want my TV shows back, and the hero worship is just completely p*ssing me off, on both sides.
Its just been such an ugly primary, in a super-ugly year of political scandal at the local/state/national level... I find it so hard to get behind either candidate, as much as I am to see "W" make his exit..
I'm not partisan in my disappointment, I think both the Dems and the GOP have made this the most runoff in recent memory...

I keep expecting to see them passing out kool aid any minute; and the RNC will be exactly the same BS...

A-MEN.

I was over it when a person criticized my PERSONAL choices and then had ABSOLUTELY no idea how the electoral college worked and looked at me like I had ten heads when I brought it up

Re: Anyone just SICK of politics?

I hear ya- I've been sick of it since before the primaries started. I think the media has a lot to do with it- the cable news channels have 24x7 of airtime to fill....they need to fill it with something, so they make a big huge deal out of every little thing that comes up.

ME! DH was watching it last night and I can sit and watch some of it, but I don't want it consuming my night. I went to bed instead!

OMG!!! i agree, i'd rather stare at the wall than watch another second of this crap. it's actually become just mindless drivel with people blindly applausing.

Re: Anyone just SICK of politics?

Not me. I've watched all the major speeches and I'm actually pi$$ed that I missed Bill Richardson. Of course, my other board is E'08 on The Nest, so I'm not surrounded by people without critical analysis skills. You should hear those ladies on UHC... it goes on for pages. And tax policy??? Holy smokes! How often do you talk to half a dozen people who can all crunch numbers?
