Officiants
I'm just starting to look into an Officiant and I was wondering what the going rates were that people are paying for their Officiant and who you are using. So if you don't mind sharing how much you are paying, please post or FM me. TIA

I think we are using Renwick Jackson. He is so sweet and such a gentleman. He is an older man, but if you are ok with that- he is great. I am not sure of his prices just yet.

I was getting prices ranging from $350 to $650. Just felt that was a lot of money for 20 minutes. We asked my brother to become ordained and be our officiant. Feel it will make the ceremony much more personal at the same time being cost effective.

I'm not sure what the prices are. i hear they can get pretty expensive, which is such a shame. I'm using the Pastor of my home church so it's basically free of charge. I think I just need to give a 'tip' or 'donation' - whatever you wanna call it

I like that. I was actually considering the same thing a while back, when I wasn't sure if my Pastor could do it. There's no way I'm spending THAT much money on the officiant, so I thought it would be nice have one of my family members get ordained instead. Luckily my Pastor IS a available on that day though. So nevermind. But I still like the idea

Expect $400 - $700.
We absolutely loved Rev. Angela Heil.
She had a lot of resources to offer us to help us design our ceremony and did a fantastic job on the day of.

I agree- prices ranged from $275-$650 for officiants when we were looking. It does sound like a lot for 20 minutes but it includes all the consultations, designing your ceremony, the writing of it, etc. Check out Dr. Janine Burns...she was really great....our guests kept coming up to us and to her saying what a wonderful ceremony it was  We designed an interfaith ceremony which was really unique. She met with us and emailed us many times until we had just what we wanted.
