My E-RIng

Today while I was at work, I looked at my ring and it looked liked one of the side baguettes were cracked. So I brought it over to one of my coworkers to check it out and she agreed that it looked cracked. So after work, I took it to the jeweler where FH got it from to get it inspected and it is cracked. I'm sooo pissed and annoyed, because I don't wear my ring all the time, just mainly for the day and take it off at night. I don't wear it to sleep, don't shower with it, don't wash dishes while wearing it, don't bake while wearing it, and don't clean while wearing it. I didn't even wear it while I went to Lake George last month because i didn't want anything to happen to it.

I am more annoyed about it because every six months it has to be inspected at the store to be covered under the warranty, in april when i had it inspected one of the baguettes was loose and had to be sent in to be tightened. Now one is cracked, this f*ing ridiculous, so now I won't have my ring for 2 weeks so they can fix it

what annoyed me even more was one of the ladies was like it can be caused by the ring hitting concrete, and i just gave her a look and was like we can rule that one out-said very snotty

I have a big fear that the center diamond will fall out of mine. I never take my ring off, I sleep, shower, cook, wash dishes, went to the beach...Its always on.

teri, does your ering happen to be from zales? I have had major problems with their jewlery in the past (hence why i wear a fake ering to work everyday...) and it seems the quality isnt getting any better as the prices are getting higher...
if its from a regular jewler i would try to get them to replace the ring...you shouldnt have to deal with the stress of your baguette's cracking!!!

no,its not from zales, its from Helzberg jewelers in Roosevelt field mall. I said something to them about not wanting to have to deal with having a problem with the baguettes all the time and they said it doesn't matter because with the warranty the diamonds are covered no matter what

yes because we know you like to walk around punching sidewalks and such

i'm sorry that that happened! This is strike 2 against them in my book. strike 3...i'd get a NEW ring

Oh wow, Teri!! That s ucks! At least you have the warranty and can get it fixed! I don't wear my ring to sleep either, but I wear it for almost everything else... and I'm constantly inspecting my baguettes because they're so fragile and can crack and fall out of the ring at any time!

Wow that s cks. The worst part is being without your ring for two weeks..I'm permanently attached to mine. On the bright side- at least its under warranty, right??

that really stinks. i feel so lost and naked when i dont have mine.
well at least its under warranty and when you get it back it'll look better than ever!!

so sorry to hear this. you should really speak with the person FH dealt with when he bought the ring because this sounds very fishy to me. lets be realistic here. i am sure you are very careful when you have it on. my SIL's band looks like it got ran over by a car (still not sure what happened) & her diamond is still in perfect condition).
