Do you still recognize your dating anniv?
Monday will be 6 years for us.... DH says that it doesnt matter now and that we have a new anniv, but I still want to go out to dinner and at least say "happy 6 year dating anniv!!"
As time passes we'll prob recognize it less and less, but I still like to acknowledge our former anniv.
Thoughts?

we still kind of do.
we met and started dating on Feb. 15th
our wedding anniv. is Feb. 25th--its only 10 days apart so we kind of recongize it. since its the day after valentine's day its easy to remember. we don't go and buy fancy gifts for that day--but we acknowledge it.

Monday is our 3 yr anniversary  . We'll do something small, dinner and maybe a small gift. I'm sure as time goes we'll do less.

well our dating anniversary is in February and since i got married in May, we obviously havent had our dating anniversary while married. But it comes to mind now, our dating anniversary is 17 and so is our wedding. So when we thought about our 3 month wedding anniversary this month, we also remembered it was an anniversary for our dating one, not exact date obviously.
I think we'll still recognize it, for now at least who knows if we will years from now. But it will definitely cross my mind all the time.
we even recognize the day we met which is feb 10th and anniversary feb 17th. But it gets crazy bc his bday is feb 5th and my bday is feb 15th, and then throw in v-day and february becomes hectic for us

our dating anniversary is feb 4th, and our wedding anniversary is feb 17th, so they're pretty close. we'll probably do something more extravagant for our wedding anniversary, but do plan on still celebrating the 4th as well.

this is funny b/c i was just making fun of my sister - her 20 year dating anniversary is coming up and my BIL is taking her to one if by land... granted they were together for like 10 years before getting married but it just seems funny that they still make such a big deal and they've been married for like 10 years.
i don't even know mine  i tried to figure it out but i can't really pinpoint what our first date was..... probably because of all the sangria we had that night so we never celebrated it.

Not really....I usually dont remember it until a few days afterwards. Plus its right around the time of DH's birthday, so we are usually celebrating that.

Yeah, we still do. We said that our wedding anniv will be the "gift giving, going out to a nice place" night. And our dating anniv is the "same home and cook for you and spend time together" night.

Our 6 year dating anniversary was just Tuesday  We celebrated by ordering dinner. LOL We never exchanged gifts even when just dating so why start now. I just like to acknowledge it with dinner out or something little like that.

We kind of do. We met at a Starbucks, so we go there for coffee and since we went out for pizza the day that we met, we get pizza too.

That is real sweet. Dh and I however never recognize our dating anniversay. I think we always remember a few days or even weeks after. We never did anything special in honor of it either. You think we would remember especially since our date lands on my bro's b-day.

Same here... we started dating July 18 2004 and got married July 14...so I bring it up..but he doesnt hehe Im surprised he even remembers our wedding anniversary hehe

usually we'd go out for a nice dinner and give eachother a card - no gifts usually because my birthday comes 3 weeks before.
however, last year for our 5 year anniv i talked DH into a spur of the moment trip to vegas (our anniv is labor day weekend so it was a great time to go, and we booked 7 days in advance -- i paid for it bc he was short on $$$).
this year we're just going to sit in our apt, relax, finish settling in from our honeymoon and wedding stuff, and maybe do a nice dinner.

We usually try and do something nice. Last yr I dragged DH out to the beach for a picnic with friends. This yr, we're celebrating it a little earlier by going to the Ren Faire this weekend. It'll be 6 yrs for us September 15.
