Hi Girls, xp from Craigslist:

Ugh. This woman should be punched in the nose, even if she is pregnant. And her husband needs to find his "you know whats" he must've lost 'em after making that baby.

So on the chance that anyone's on the market for a furbaby, take a look:

Please consider giving my husband's dog a loving home. I am pregnant and can no longer put up with the responsibilities of a dog. We have given him hundred's off dollars worth of training. A 'dog person' would absolutely love this dog, however I am not that person. He is a 4 year old, neutered male. Up to date on all shots. Beautiful dog. He is about 45 pounds. He is a 'guy's' dog, in that he is dumb and affectionate, and very playful.

I will even throw in a training session to get him used to your new home and teach you his commands.

OMG, that is just awful! And 'dumb and affectionate' - is she kidding? I have no patience for people like this. Getting a pet is a HUGE responsibility and committment. It annoys me when people decide, they've had enough or just dont' have the time anymore! I mean come on...It's a pet, not a sweater.

And he's so cute too! I would love to take him, but I already have a 65 lb. 'baby' at home.

If she can't deal with a dog, how is she going to deal with a having a child?!?!? People like this make me want to . When you bring a pet into your home it becomes a part of your family. But people are lazy and don't want to do the work, drives me nuts.

Re: Hi Girls, xp from Craigslist:

people like her disgust me.

i HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE people who act like pets are okay until the "real babies" come.

they are family -- a pet is a lifetime committment, not until you just don't "feel like" taking care of it.

ugh she sux hard

Talk about "compromise" in a marriage. That makes me so mad.

Poor dog. I hope someone who is a real animal lover gets him and gives him a proper home. This woman probably abuses him too.

Re: Hi Girls, xp from Craigslist:

oh dear.... I probably shouldn't comment on this thread because I was in the middle of a dramalicious post a while back regarding someone giving away their cats.

My opinion is, a pet is a part of your family and should not be taken lightly. They depend on you and you shouldnt be willing to give them away unless there is a major medical reason. It drives me crazy when someone says "i'm moving to a smaller apt and theres not enough room for my 3 cats, but i'm keeping my dog" (the gist of the post that spiraled into drama on BHB)

how do you pick and choose between your pets? How can you give them up so easily? I was missing my cats on my honeymoon

I thought I was going to die by the end of my honeymoon missing my cat. I had separation anxiety.

My favorites are the ones that go: we just moved into a new apt building and they don't allow pets. Will you please take my cat/dog that we've had FOREVER because we can't take it with us???

how about you don't move someplace that won't take your furry family member?!?! Yes I know it's hard to find a place to live sometimes, but this is a challenge you might have to face when choosing to bring a pet into your family.

Or, my other favorite:

I just got a new roomate and she's allergic to my cat I've had since I was a kid....

Sure, dump your pet over a roomate you just met.......ummm, how about you don't take in a roomate that's allergic. -

I really hate people sometimes.

haha, mine actually is. But he grew up with cats and has always been slightly allergic. His allergies have actually gotten worse in recent years but we chose to get this cat together a few years ago. He loves it to death don't get me wrong, but his eyes and nose do suffer. Oh well, that's what Benadryl is for.

i agree with you. Uh, I'd turn down an apartment I loved in the blink of an eye if it didnt allow pets, or I'd negotiate with them to try to let me bring my cats. If we move back to NYC the cats are coming with me.

I did have a roommate my first year of law school who was allergic to cats, but I knew that going in and waited another year before adopting my cats. I never would have given them up if I had already had them. (I waited until DH and I moved in together, so they could grow up being around him constantly)

I'm a bit more obsessed than most (we named our signature drinks after our cats and put a pic of htem on the sign -- had to include them somehow) but to me it's like.. would you give away your child?

Oh man I just saw this and was about to see if I could help out. I worry for the dog! She seems like the type that would pack the dog in the car and then let him loose in another neighborhood. I can only hope her DH takes over so his dog ends up with a couple who deserve him.
