Hmmm Veil.....
Hello girls
So I got my dress... ***edited to delete the dress due to FH snooping around forums*** Thanks for your help!!
It has 2 runners (not sure that's what it's called ;)) of color in the back down the train and then the train is beaded... I was wondering if I'd wear a Cathedral Veil with it... I just think that veil looks so cool and traditional... but then my dress is a bit modern... and the back is the most beautiful part.
What do you think? Do you think the cathedral veil would take away from the dress over all?
Are there any other brides getting married in a dress with color? What kind of veil do you think you'll go for?
I thought picking the dress would be the hardest part of my wardrobe for the day.... but it turns out it was the easiest!
(oh! I'm getting married in a Roman Catholic Church) ... and my train is semi-cathedral.
Thanks for your opinions!
***edited*** I had to delete the dress out of my post since FH is now looking around on the forums... can't risk it :) Thank you to all the girls who helped me out!

Re: Hmmm Veil.....
I think you can definitely wear a cathedral veil. Though the color makes your dress a bit modern, the dress itself is still a traditional style dress with a long enough train that the veil will look lovely!
edit: I do think you could go either way though because the dress detail does speak for itself! Im not wearing a veil at all but i thikn if you love the cathedral length you should go for it!

Re: Hmmm Veil.....
Personally I would let that dress speak for itself and opt for a shorter veil, but I'm not really a veil person myself. I was debating the Alfred Angelo "famous" dress with the red, and that was what I was going to do.

Re: Hmmm Veil.....
you can def wear the cathedral veil! you can always take it off at the RH but remember you probably wont want to wear such a long viel for the reception so you may want to consider getting a second smaller viel if you want to wear it througout the night!
and welcome!

Re: Hmmm Veil.....
Congrats and welcome! That's such a pretty dress. I think you should go with a shorter veil and let the dress be the main attraction. But, I would try all lengths on and see what works.

Re: Hmmm Veil.....
my gown also has color its the halter one with the sashes on the back and i was thinking to go with a shorter veil so it would not take away from the dress but if you are only going to use it during the ceremony then i dont see why you couldnt get the longer veil
