St. Lucia
I am booked for St. Lucia!
For anyone that has been, are there any excursions, restuarants, or fun things we can do off the resort?

Re: St. Lucia
No, we booked at East Winds and booked a bungalow. We really wanted a small resort and this one just had everything we wanted.
I am so excited and am planning a hiking day but would love to hear if there are restuarants or excursions on the island that we should check out.

Re: St. Lucia
From my understanding St. Lucia has almost perfect weather year round and they are just outside the Hurricane belt. There weather is similar to i believe Antigua. 85 degrees year round. I looked at the weather on weatherchannel.com and looked at the highs and lows and rain fall. (very little rain fall)

We knew that St Lucia is "outside the hurricane belt" but didn't realize that means a hurricane is unlikely to hit the island, but they get lots of rain during hurricane season!
We were there for 8 days and it rained 7 of the 8 days!! We were not expecting this! Luckily most of the rain storms would pass in 2, 5, 10 minutes but it was a regular occurrence. It poured for a while on two nights (one was the night of our candlelit dinner on the beach -- still was insanely fun, we were the only couple to stick it out and i got the concierge to give us a second for free, didnt rain that night).
Not trying to scare you away, but don't come expecting there to be no rain. a waterproof beach bag would be great to protect your stuff that's out at the pool when it starts raining. my tote bled in the rain and stained 2 of DH's tshirts
