HALLOWEEN WEDDING

Anyone ever been to or planned a Halloween wedding. I am looking for some unique ideas. Although my fiance and I will be wearing the normal bride/groom attire, we want to plan some surprises for our guests.

Re: HALLOWEEN WEDDING

I would definitely give out trick-or-treat bags as favors, use Halloween votives for place cards, and give out those eye masks (the ones that cover just your eyes) for guests to wear. You could do names of famous monsters or scary movies instead of table numbers. And don't foget to play "Thriller" and Monster Mash....check out youtube for some really cool Thriller wedding dances that some bridal parties did!!
A couple of brides on here had Hallo-weddings. If you do a search you will probably find a lot more ideas!!!

Re: HALLOWEEN WEDDING

My bridesmaids are going to be in lavender & black. Below is a picture of the dress. My invites are metallic black & lavender. The reception hall is going to be more orange & black. The table runners are going to be orange & black and the favors (caramel apples) will be wrapped in orange & black.

Re: HALLOWEEN WEDDING

I'm doing a Halloween wedding next year. I have lots of ideas I want to incorporate into the day to make it more Halloween-ish. I'm going to get living statues during the cocktail hour to scare the guests. The placecards will be attached to mini-pumpkins. When each guest comes to their table they will each have a mask at their place setting. I want caramel apples on the tables as favors and I'm going to have a candy bar at the end of the night (kind of like trick or treating!). I'm doing my centerpieces in funkins (fake carvable pumpkins - no smell!). I also think I want to have mini hurricane holders with pumpkin candles held in place with candy corns. Hope this helps! Good luck!

i always said that if i had a halloween wedding i would tell everyone to come in costume....th eonly thing is that you know some of the older people wouldnt come in costume and then i wasnt sure about pictures but i thought it would be so cool if everyone really got all decked out

Re: HALLOWEEN WEDDING

I love Halloween, that was one of the dates I wanted. I really thought the Venetian mask theme would have been cool. But FH didn't like it, he thought it was disrespectful to the church and that the guests would be pissed off if they had to leave their houses unattended.

Oh well, a Christmas wedding will be just as nice!

Re: HALLOWEEN WEDDING

These are somethings I am doing..

parent entrance song--paint it black/rolling stones or sweet emotion/aerosmith
My entrance song--hells bells /acdc

place cards will be mini pumpkins

favors (besides the mini pumpkins for people to take home) i am getting a candy cart..so I am buying trick or treat bags and putting them at every setting

Everyone in bp are wearing black. Girls will be carrying black magic roses

I am having a toss up on either dark purple calla lillies or a mix of fall color bo'k

my flower girl is carrying a mini cauldron down the isle with black magic rose petals to drop or was thinking about buying the mini bags of candy corn that are individually packaged and she can hand them out to people--not every single person, but a couple here and there

my ceremony will have pumpkins at the end of the isles

My dj will be handing out witch hates and devil horns

i am putting jack o lanterns everywhere (can you tell I love pumpkins yet?!?! haha!)

When our guests are finding their seats the following songs will be played

fever--ray charles
welcome to my nightmare-alice cooper
Sweet dreams--marilyn manson (only 30 seconds because this song freaks out my fh but i think it sets the mood perfectly)

when the candy cart is wheeled out i want one of the following songs played
house of 1,000 corpses by rob zombie (instrumental)
i put a spell on you
devil inside-inxs
oommpa loompa
1 2 freddy's coming for you
the candy man
