any advice...

I was married this past Septmeber and everything was perfect, but I also seem to be just finding things wrong even if they werent. The big thing that makes me hung up on my wedding even more then my face being just a little shiney, is something that a guest said to me that night.

The last song had just played, and I am on cloud nine, everyone is saying good bye and raving over my beautiful day and then just like in an instant it all changed. A friend of mines finance came up to me and said quote "nice wedding and all but dont worry mine will top this come next sept." Who says that!!! I know that my wedding was perfect in every way but I cant seem to get that out of my head. One jerk really can ruin alot and now they are getting married. Any adivice on how to deal with this???
And the horrible thing is, their wedding is this Sept. coming up, and i have no desire to go or to hear anything about it!! I feel awful!

Re: any advice...

No, no one with any class says that but don't let it bother you. Some people only attend weddings to "check them/you out." This is totally rude and you shouldn't let it bother you. Rudeness!

Re: any advice...

the only way to deal with it is to find a way not to let it bother you. Just look at these people as totally tacky and lame and feel sorry for them. NO ONES opinion of your day matters except yours. This is something i really struggled with, but once I got it, I am much happier.

Consider not going to their wedding as well. They certainly don't sound like friends.

Who does that? Inconsiderate, selfish people that don't have an original idea in their heads and cannot be happy for someone if it killed them.

A classless bafoon! Don't sweat it, their marriage won't last, it will be pouring and their DJ won't show.

Hows that?!

Oh, and they will have food poisoning on their honeymoon.

I hope this made you feel better.

I can't believe he said that. He has no class. It sounds like your wedding made him envious.

If you do go to his wedding, just remember, he can have a great wedding but it doesn't change the fact that he is a Class A jerk. And your poor friend is marrying him.

Try to remember all of the wonderful compliments people said on your wedding day and don't give this jerk another thought.
