Duet Brides- UPDATED 10/5
Does Duet let you keep your negatives?
I really want a photographer who lets me keep my negatives or has proofs that arent watermarked. The one we are ready to book keeps the copyright to your photos and I would rather have the negatives myself so I dont have to order through him everytime a want a photo printed.

I BOOKED!! Thanks for all the info gals. Their albums were amazing!! They are little more $$ than what we were going with but you can't deny the quality. THANKS

We discussed this with the owner (Eric) and he said we can have all of them (in RAW or JPG digital format, which is what we requested) after the album is designed. You could just tell him that this is something you want and they'll likely include it. You might have to sign a something when you finally receive them.
Edit.. we'll get the printed proofs as well.

We were ready to book Marco Photography in Holbrook. I have my deposit money here. But this reason is preventing me from booking.
If Duets prices are similar I will book them Wednesday. I've seen such good work from them I think they will be perfect for us.

Duet gives you the raw negatives plus he photos on CD. I have seen many proofs on here from them and they are not watermarked.

As all the previous brides responded-YES you do get all the proofs and negatives. Thats whats awesome about these guys. They do great work plus you get all the extras included that other photographers dont provide

We got all the proofs from Duet and the do not have that proof stamp on them. We will get everything that was stated above as well.

I havent finished all of my items yet..lol.. Bad bride syndrome!!! LOL..
I do get my negatives back after the parents albums are completed... lol
The prrofs are not printed on or watermarked.. they do have a white edge but so do the pics you can get developed at Nation Wholesale liquidators...

Yes. We will be getting back all our negatives, and no, the proofs are not watermarked. We also requested all of our raw video footage which we will get also. I had them write it into the contract. I wouldn't have booked them if I couldn't get my negatives.
