stressed about money and picking a place!!!!

Anyone else out there stressed about their 2006 wedding? I'M FREAKING OUT!

i've looked at about 12 places so far--and im overwhelmed with the cost/person that these places want to charge.

I have my heart set on Saturday April 1st, 2006--<sentimental>

I'll be making my own invites and everything--why is this all so expensive???

I KNOW! It's all so frustrating. We have no choice but to double our original budget. it just wasn't possible. This board will help you find ways to save money. Also, can you do a saturday afternoon reception? that will have a LOT of money and give you the date you need. Since FH is jewish, that wasn't a possibility for us, but it might be for you.

How did I pick a place? I bought that Ny sites and services book and just went through it page by page (it has a page for each hall, giving price and all pertinent info), and I crossed out everything that was too expensive, too far away, looked ugly or had more than one wedding at a time. if you igure out the most important factors you can really narrow it down that way. And then one day people were posting pics of NRC online and I thought ti was so pretty and I called up right then and made an appointment for that day and I fell in love with it. I almost couldn't help falling in love with it, it maet ALL of my requirements!

Stressed to say the least. We are already married but decided it was already time for us to have the wedding that we never had, since we only had a civil ceremony.
Realistically, we can only spend 5000 in the whole thing so after researching a lot, we just decided that it was impossible to have something nice here in NY and instead opted to have it in Mexico, just the two of us and our daughter.
Besides what else can we ask for, its paradise and it will be more special and stress free.
Good luck thought, do a lot of research and don't be afraid to think outside the box.

Stressed is not even the word. I am builiding a home and I am having a wedding. Now that is stresssssssssssss.

Completely stressed out! We are both still living at home too, so we still need to figure out a place to live.

yea thats what Im stressed about the most,.,, Like we can swing the whole wedding budget thing , but we have no where to LIVE!!!!

I am stressed...FH & I are eagerly house hunting & I am so stressed with trying to plan the wedding & find a place to live in & get furniture!

Honestly, no stress. I dont think I have come close to freaking out yet. The only thing that I do freak over is coming up with $$$ to cover the wedding. Always seems like something gets in the way of putting some away....party,b-day,shower,christening, BILLS!
